This year's Christmas was completely Merry and Memorable! We woke up at 8:00am to have Christmas Breakfast with my sister Susan. We believe she must've been a real chef reincarnated in this life. ;-) She made a delicious breakfast - cheese/ham omelette, sausage and mini-pancakes! And, hot coffee and green brown rice tea! YUMMY!
We then proceed to pick up mom at the hospital. She was discharged at 11:00am. She came home and slept so very soundly. For the rest of the day, I helped my sisters prepare for our Christmas dinner. We had planned the following menu:
CHRISTMAS FEAST
Romaine Salad
Garlic Bread (everyone's favorite!)
Prime Roast Rib
Steamed Rock Cod (mom's favorite!)
Broccoli & Cauliflower
Scalloped Potatoes
Cheesecake Brownies
Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
Martinelli's Apple Cider
Hot Coffee
Hot Tea
During dinner, we listened to Christmas tunes, toasted one another a "Merry Christmas" and enjoyed our meal together. Mom, in particular, enjoyed the good food and being home. Me too. After dinner, we took some photos with the Christmas tree and opened Christmas gifts. At the end, we relax with a TV program - National Geographic program on Arctic animals. The kids like to cuddle when watching TV. It was so cold outside (about 45F/7C) that we felt warm and cozy indoors. It was a simple, fun, and very Merry Christmas!
