Just one more class to attend this THUR and TWO more papers to complete and ONE more presentation. I'm so glad I made it through this first semester. A classmate, Lee Dawson, took a photo of our class (Dr. Hemphill) for memory sake. It's a little too far of a shot, but it was the thought that counted. I find myself smiling a lot and shaking my head after last week because I really really thought this road was shameful, difficult, problematic, impossible but I was wrong. It's turning out to be the best decision I have ever made in my 36 years of life. I wish more people could experience the classroom when they've gained enough life experiences to engage in a facilitation and a discussion with others on the state of our society, our world, and ourselves. Perhaps it has always been there, but it's only me who has grown up. It's refreshing to meet folks who genuinely care so much about the quality of education not only for oneself but for others. It's a deep inspiration for me. For the first time, I'm really looking forward to the future ahead.
