I can't believe tomorrow's the BIG DAY! I re-named it 'Run For Life' inspired by the song. I've always been enthralled and enraptured by the whole idea of the marathon. Notice I say 'idea' and not event. It took me 26 weeks of training to get to where I am, so it can't possibly be just an event. To me, it is a journey with ideas in which my mind and heart are constantly being tested, being confronted, being applied, being in accord with something bigger than myself. I'm not exactly sure yet what that is. But, less than 24 hours, I will know. In the meantime, I've enjoyed a week of resting, carbo-loading, and hydrating and for me, I add in visualizing, and inspiring. I watch back footages of those who run before me. It's an awesome euphoric high to try to do something that one could only imagined and knowing how difficult and challenging that is, we do it for so may different reasons. I'm forever indebted to running and all that it has given to my life.
This video captures the spirit of the marathon. Enjoy it as much as I had. Thank you friends and family for all your wishes and support. I'm ready to kick butt!
