pear tree

I took a break from my homework on a sunny Tuesday (9/16) to enjoy and admire something staring back at my through my window. Dad had planted two pear trees nearly 16 years ago in the backyard. It has grown to great heights and in the Autumn season, beautiful, plump pears(which are my favorites!) make their appearances. I usually pick them when they turn tan to beige color, and slice them into a salad or just enojy them as a snack. They're delicious! Some of the birds would nibble on a few bruised pears that had fallen on the ground. And, I usually use a ladder to reach the ones up higher. I wonder how high they will reach up to? This beautiful, quiet and sunny Autumn afternoon surrounded by pear trees make me feel dad's presence and his gifts, and the simple blessings that are found in our own backyards. We don't really have to search too far and wide for love and beauty. ;-) Thanks for visiting!
