Michael Jackson

The news of Michael Jackson's death is nearly sinking into me. I'm still feeling terribly sad and very much in grief, as if a member of a family have passed.
The last 2 days, I have uncovered my collection of MJ CD's and even an old VHS tape filled with footages of MJ's Dangerous Tour, three interviews: 1993 with Oprah, 1996 with Diane Sawyer and 2005 with Martin Bashir, including MJ's 1991 Superbowl Performance, 1997 MTV Performance, 1991 Black or White Performance on MTV and his 1989 Acceptance of the Award of Merit at the American Music Awards. This VHS tape is now a memorabilia that I know I'll keep for a long time.

I agree with MJ's family who have publicly announced that it is most fitting that
we celebrate Michael Jackson's life as he would have wanted, and not focus intensely on his personal issues and untimely death. It is something that I think every human being would want including myself.

Michael Jackson is a true entertainer. I am fascinated with his great music and his brilliant performances. As I listen to his music, I am evermore thankful for the joy he has brought to this world. It's as if he was meant to be an instrument of divinity and peace, carrying us through with his music into a transcendent sense of existence, filled with joy, awe and pleasure. A heartfelt thank you to Michael Jackson and for him to bear all the trials and tribulations of his life marred by this messed-up world we live in. At the end, it is the music that lives on. I recalled MJ's interview with Oprah in 1993, when he said he liked to be remembered for his music and the love in his heart. He has succeeded in living out his vision and he will always be the King of Pop.

Below are some of my favorite photos of Michael Jackson. I created a collage (via picnik.com) with photos taken from Mr. Neal Preston, a photographer for Rolling Stones Magazine. MJ's younger years especially one shot of pet mice on his shoulder is really cute. Rest in Peace MJ.

Below are the last photos taken of Michael Jackson's working days from Life Magazine.
