lincoln log

During one day out of my week with Amanda, I took her over to Perri & Carlin's house (her cousin, and my other niece) to play. One particular toy was called the Lincoln Log, a set of 50 pieces of wooden blocks that required assemblage. The finished product was a replica of President Abraham Lincoln's childhood cabin. I personally enjoy such toys that have a 'building' and 'assembling' element to them. It's fun for kids and adults to spend some time on a group project such as this.

This year marks the 200th Birthday of President Lincoln, which have spawn the popular sale of the toy this year. I took some photos of our finished Lincoln Log. Not bad, huh? It only took us 40 minutes. ;-) I really enjoyed building it and the girls loved playing and relaxing with each other. It was a perfect summer day! ;-)
