Hearst Castle

In the Central Coast of California lies an isolated town call San Simeon and high atop the hills is Hearst Castle built by the newspaper tycoon at the turn of the
20th Century - William Randolph Hearst. I visited this interesting spot which is part of the California Historical Preservation Monument, on August 12th. I was fascinated by the European Architecture being employed as well as the scale and scope of such a 'project' led by the renowned Julia Morgan, whom I had studied about in high school. I captured some images of the interior and exterior of the castle above. If I have more time, I will write more about my thoughts on Hearst, the castle project, and the tour we were given. Thanks for visiting!
