A Beautiful Day

On Monday, October 26, I took a brisk morning walk at Golden Gate Park. It was such a beautiful Autumn day! Even just for 1 hour, it was enjoyable, relaxing, beautiful, refreshing and almost heaven! I saw a lot of yellow school buses converging onto the Academy of Sciences area. They have journeyed from Lodi, Stockton, Tracy: small community towns from the Central Valley, about 3 hours drive to San Francisco. My thought was how grateful I was to live just 1 mile from Golden Gate Park, a gem in an urban city. So many visitors from around the State visit this magnificent park. If we can't appreciate something in our own backyard, then we're not living as consciously and thoughtfully as we should. I waved at some of the school children from afar and they waved back. It was one of the those beautiful mornings where the sun shines brightly and the smiles from people are reflected back wherever I walked. It was a truly simple and beautiful Autumn day!
