On December 20, my sister Susan hosted the very first Cousins' Party!! It was incredible to see all of us gathered together not for a birthday, a funeral or wedding, but simply to get together for the sake of getting together. Over the years, I often say 'my cousin' because I have 30+ cousins since my parents come from big families. We had a lot of fun! we sang Christmas carols and played a guessing game on how well we know our cousins. For many years to come, we will always remember and treasure good times! As 2009 draws to a close, the need for peace, for love, for good spirits, for good times, for bonding, and for family is still a very important part of life. I don't think my life would be as enriching without having so many cousins in it. Thanks Susan for hosting and planting the seeds to what might become a family tradition! Merry Christmas today!!
