From December 30, 2009 - January 11, 2010, I visited New York City. It was my first time at the Big Apple. I have always wanted to visit the most famous city in the U.S. & finally found a great opportunity during my Winter Break. I stayed with an old friend who lives in Brooklyn. It was a great trip & I literally fell in love with the world city. It exuded diversity, art & culture and pure energy & inpiration. It's everything I thought New York City would be. Some of the highlights were captured with my camera & at other times, I just wanted to take in the whole experience, & not deal with the camera sometimes. Here's a list of some highlights & 3 collages I have created of New York City. Hope you enjoy.
Highlights:
Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge, Snowy days, 2 people actually asked me for directions while I was on the subway platform, running at Sunset Park overlooking the East River, thin-crust pizza at Grimaldi's - YUM!, late-night movies at the cinema including the 1970's film Taxi Driver shot in NYC, shopping at SoHo, Strolling along Broadway past Lincoln Center, Long Island Sound visit with my dad's mentor & friend, Yum Cha at Manhattan, Chinatown with cousin Tony & Pansy, visit to Ground Zero & St. Paul's Cathedral, an 8-hour visit to the MET follow by a stroll along Fifth Ave to Columbus Circle, taking the train into Penn Station from Long Island, visit to Grand Central Terminal, Times Square on New Year's Day, NYE concert Los Lobos, Guggenheim Museum (Kandinsky's work), delicious Asian food at NYC, Coldest outdoor walk at Central Park, taxi rides at NYC, & solo trip to Upper West Side & Brooklyn's Chinatown, home-cooking with my friend.

Your pictures are absolutely beautiful. This makes me more excited for my trip. I leave Wed.
(For a reason, I can't identify myself here. You'll know who I am, I'm sure.)
