spring = writing

This would be a memorable Spring where I spent days writing my Thesis. It has become a full-time job. I start 9:00am, write til noon, take a lunch-break, then back to the desk til I take a snack break at 3:00pm. I usually stop by 9:00pm unless I have lots of ideas that needs to be put on paper.

A few days I would dread the whole process, and on some days I couldn't wait to hit the computer. Writing is struggle no matter how long I've been doing it. There's so much to think about. It's a communication tool between the written word and your audience. I sometimes go to bed at night wondering if my reader is going to understand or like what I've written. I do care. It is reflective of me, my ideas, and how well I could express myself. I think writing is one tool in human beings that allow for reflection, transmission and creation and construction of thoughts in the form of language, which distiguishes us from other forms of life on earth.

These days of writing are fleeing quickly. I knwo they won't return again. I don't think I could ever come back to this writing full-time thing, until I retire in the future. ;-) So, this is it. And, the Thesis is only a once-in-a-lifetime experience. When i look back on these days, I'll remember writing a lot, during these beautiful Spring Days. The morning sun shines through, with a few cats lounging below in my parents' backyard, and the flowers are in full-bloom and I know the scenery will change again by the Summer. Just a few more words, pages & they'll take me to the finish line. Thanks for reading! Happy Spring!
