Oprah

May 25th, 2011 is a day I had circled on my calendar since last year. It marks Oprah Winfrey's last show, having been on air for the last 25 years. My weekly late afternoons when I came from school, I would unwind and watch Oprah. Over the years, the sound stage, her appearance, her popularity, the show's topics have changed and evolved but essentially her show is still of great value. Oprah never lost sight of her vision for her show which was to better the lives of people through the medium of television. She's given me so many 'A-ha' moments and I always shed a tear and come away from her shows with a greater awareness of who I am and the purpose of being here on earth. I want to simply say 'THANK YOU' Oprah for all that you've done. I'm gonna miss tuning in and seeing you on weekdays at 4pm on channel 7. As you said, 'until next time' there's no goodbyes.
