Where has the time gone? 2011 is halfway finish. Wow! And, this picture really is how I feel at this point. In fact, I put on Miley Cyrus's 'Party in the USA' in my livingroom, and out of nowhere just started dancing solo! ;-)
This year is a great one! I celebrate lots of personal milestones - 5 years at Hong Kong (not counting my 2-year gap), 10 years since I entered the field of education, 15 years since my undergrad. studies in creative writing, 20 years since my high school graduation and 25 years since dad re-introduced his children to Hong Kong in the summer of 1986. Thank you Dad!
Time slips by so quickly. These milestones only signify to me how far along this journey is going, and how short it can really be. A heavy workload these days only makes it more challenging to enjoy the days as much as I could. A simple cup of green tea, a good foot soak in the tub, and that's right - DANCING solo! in the living room - are all it takes to re-charge and get centered again, especially on a weekday evening.
I can't wait to make a trip home to San Francisco this summer! The great thing about the City by the Bay is that it never changes the way Hong Kong does. In fact, San Francisco's natural beauty captivates every soul who set foot on it. I'm just lucky it's my hometown! This summer, I'll be sure to update this blog as much as I could. I've got a whole list of things I'm hoping to do back in the Bay Area. This list came about while busy working in Hong Kong. See how creative the mind can get when it's too occupied with work! ;-)
Happy Living! Cheers to the halfway mark of 2011!
